Paradise Publishers Corporate Update- July
We trust the summer is treating you well, as you read this
We look forward to July and August because while most businesses slow down, we're ramping up for lots of Fall activity. Past experience shows us that our community and new members are even more eager for opportunities and continuing education in September. Likely the 'back to school' season inspires all for a fresh start and Paradise will be there to deliver it to them.
We have a quite a few things to report since our June update, both good and bad. The sites themselves continue to grow at their normal and positive pace of 800-1000 new members a day, which for summer is quite encouraging.
The continued increase in membership has caused one 'growing pain' though and that's with our main web server (which hosts most of our sites). It will soon be overloaded and we have decided to move to everything to a newer one. As some of our websites are fairly large Free-eBooks.net stores thousands books for example), our techs will have their hands full over the next few weeks. Once this iscompleted, the team will return to the development of more services and support at Paradise.
Now for the fun stuff…
As mentioned in the June update we were in negotiations with Martin Wales. Well, Martin is now the new President of Paradise Publishers. I look forward to working with him and leveraging his industry experience and extensive network of contacts. The full press release can be seen on
Yahoo! News here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/prweb/20070626/bs_prweb/prweb535087_2
Martin isn't the only one who's taken an interest in Paradise though. Within the past few weeks, we've had two different departments within Google contact us. The first is their book division ( Google Books ) and the other one, well…we can't talk about yet.
First, Google Books has noticed our growing presence. We're in discussion with them at the moment about opportunities that would benefit Paradise's exposure and growth. More news to follow as this develops.
Unfortunately the second branch of Google has specifically sworn us to secrecy. As soon as we can divulge some of the details you'll definitely be among the first to know.
In closing, there were several other pieces of good news we wanted to share with you but we’ll let them mature a little more first. I think we'll save those for the next time we talk. Besides with summer’s here and I don’t want to keep you in front of the computer for too long.
As always we wish you the very best.
Take good care and look forward to bringing you more Paradise news soon,
Nicolas Gremion
